Release date 10-22-2012In Oct of 2012 The Western Swing Authority released their second album, creating a buzz in the music world once again. This time the album was partially funded by fans around the world, through Pledgemusic.com. “All Dolled Up” was the title track and first single release from the album. It’s an original, written by Shane Gusé and Jason Blaine, and was nominated for song of the year at the 2013 CMAO Awards, where they were also nominated for Group or Duo. The release of All Dolled up saw airplay on hundreds of radio stations all over the world and tripled the number of stations spinning the WSA. “I’ve Got A Feelin’” was the second release from the band’s sophomore album. This is a big song, and the track let’s singer Stacey Lee (former member of the Juno-nominated group Lace) really show off what she can do with a ballad. In fact, the song was nominated and won for “Best Americana Song” in the 2013 Independent Music Association Awards. It also won the fan voted IMA Vox Populi Awards in the same category. November of 2013 saw the band gain nominations for two Academy of Western Artists Awards (Best Western Swing Group and Female Vocalist) and an Ameripolitan Music Award (Best Western Swing Group). 2013 was a great year for the WSA and even though it is only a few weeks into 2014, there are many exciting new opportunities taking shape. The Western Swing Authority plan to release their newest album this year.
